The RN2-24 fuse is a short-circuit protection device designed specifically for voltage transformers. In the power system, voltage transformers play a crucial role. However, due to various reasons such as equipment failures and operational errors, voltage transformers may experience short circuits, which poses a serious threat to the stable operation of the power system. At this point, the RN2-24 fuse can play its crucial role in timely cutting off short-circuit current and preventing the expansion of accidents.

The RN2-24 fuse has a high breaking capacity of 1000, 2000, and 4000MVA, respectively, and can fuse the current within the range of 0.6 to 1.8A in a short period of time, ensuring the safe operation of the power system. It is worth mentioning that the RN2-24 fuse is only used for short circuit protection and cannot be used as overload protection. Therefore, attention should be paid to its purpose when selecting it.

In terms of installation, the RN2-24 fuse should be installed vertically with the indicator pointing downwards to observe whether it is operating. Of course, if necessary, it can also be installed horizontally or obliquely. The bus lead should be connected to the conductive plate of the fuse, and the iron plate below the copper conductive plate is for enhancing mechanical strength, not for conducting electricity.
