The AST emergency trip block HTCVC25.2 of the steam turbine is a key component of the protection system of the steam turbine generator set. Its main function is to monitor key operating parameters such as speed, vibration, oil pressure, temperature, etc. during the operation of the steam turbine. Once any abnormal situation that may cause equipment damage or safety accidents is detected, the AST module will quickly respond and activate the emergency trip system through electromagnetic or hydraulic methods to achieve emergency shutdown operation of the steam turbine and protect it from damage.
The AST emergency trip system generally includes the following components:
1. Sensor and monitoring unit: responsible for real-time collection and analysis of turbine operating parameters, such as overspeed sensors, vibration sensors, oil pressure sensors, etc., converting physical signals into electrical signals.
2. Logic control unit: receives sensor signals, determines whether to trigger emergency stop commands based on preset safety thresholds and logical judgments. This unit typically integrates microprocessors and is capable of performing complex protection logic operations.
3. Execution mechanisms: including AST solenoid valves, hydraulic control units, etc. When the control unit issues a shutdown command, these execution mechanisms quickly close the inlet valve of the turbine, stop steam supply, and may also include closing the extraction check valve, opening the bypass system, and other operations to achieve rapid shutdown.
4. Alarm and indication system: Before or at the same time as emergency shutdown, clear warning information is provided to operators through sound and light alarms, control room indicator lights or display screens, informing them of the shutdown reason, facilitating quick response and troubleshooting.
5. Reset and diagnostic functions: After an emergency stop, the AST module needs to be manually or automatically reset in order to restart the turbine after the fault is resolved. At the same time, the module may have a fault diagnosis function to help technicians analyze the cause of the interruption, perform maintenance, and troubleshoot.
