The FDZHJD510-2 rotor shaft grounding device for the main shaft of the generator is a safety protection component in the generator system. Its main function is to establish a low impedance electrical connection between the generator rotor (main shaft) and the ground, so that in the event of insulation faults on the rotor surface, the fault current can be quickly introduced to the ground, thereby protecting the generator and its related equipment from damage and avoiding more serious accidents that may occur due to insulation faults, such as fires.


During normal operation, the generator rotor should be kept insulated to prevent current loss to the ground. However, due to various reasons such as insulation aging, mechanical damage, pollution or humid environments, insulation faults may occur on the surface of the rotor. If there is an insulation fault between the rotor surface and the ground without timely grounding protection, charges may accumulate on the rotor, forming a high potential difference. Once the discharge conditions are met, arc discharge will occur, causing serious damage to the generator stator and its insulation, and even causing accidents.
